Rules & Regulations

Guild Structure

Guild Manager
Eander

Officers
Minoan
Branta ( Nybbas / Dolgare / Martym / Ando / etc )
Donpablo
Hinar

All officers are considered to have equal authority. Guild decisions are made based on a majority decision among the officers and the GM. Officers have the authority to invite others to the guild, remove people from the guild, as well as other administrative functions.

Raid Assistants

Poake
Hewfe
Yeomin
Daishi

These are people specifically designated as able to start raids and lead them if no officer is present. They are expected to act under the instruction of officers at any time, and are qualified to fill the position of raid leader under supervision of officers. They also confer with the officers during raidtime on strategies, loot, and other issues. All guild members are expected to follow Raid Leaders’ instructions during raids.

Member Ranks

The following are member ranks. Players can only have one non-Alt character (Main) in the guild, whatever its rank.

Initiate
Any accepted applicant to the guild must first be an initiate for a period of around one month. That time is considered an evaluation period where the officers may decline to make the player a guild member and instead remove them from the guild. Officers may decide to remove an initiate from the guild if they feel they are not contributing or participating an acceptable amount. An exact reason does not need to be given. The Initiate period may extend longer than the one month time, if the Officers feel the person hasn’t been fully evaluated yet.

Alt
Alts are characters in the guild that, obviously, are not Mains. Players are allowed to have any number of Alts of any level in the guild.

Non-Raider
There are some members of the guild who are friends of the officers or other long-standing members. They are invited on a social and non-raiding basis. While still members of the guild, they will have lowest priority for raiding positions, as they did not join with purpose of raiding

Raider
Initiates are promoted to raider status after their evaluation period. Raiders make up the majority of guild members. All raiders are considered equal to each other.

Senior Raider
Senior Raiders are the folks who have been with us the longest, contribute to the guild’s progress, show up consistently, and are generally the example of what we want our guildies to be. Senior Raiders get a little more help from the gbank on repairs, as well as other benefits as the officers see fit.

Alt Policy

The status of which of a player’s characters is his/her main and which are alts will be set by an officer. Once set, this will not be subject to change unless, due to specific circumstances, a mutual decision is made between the player and the officers.

Players can have any number of alts in the guild. Alts not logged in for a considerable amount of time will be considered inactive, and may be removed from the guild. We’d ask players to restrict their alts to those necessary for guild communication during play.

As stated in our loot policy, mains take loot priority over alts. All loot distribution decisions are ultimately subject to officer discretion, but as a general rule one can expect the status of their character as main or alt to have a determining factor in who is eligible for any particular loot item.

Players are allowed to bring their alts to raids that are considered to be on “off nights”. Players must bring their main to all progression content raids that occur during the regular schedule.

Exceptions may be made to this rule, however the general policy is:

  • If the raid is on the “guild’s time” then it’s mains only.
  • If the raid is during “off time” then any toons are acceptable.

Please note that our alt policy has been refactored over the course of more than 3 years of raiding, during which time we saw countless hours of raid time wasted because too many people wanted to bring alts to Molten Core and couldn’t get the job done. We are a progression-oriented guild — not a means to gear alts.

Sharing Accounts

At any point, if it becomes apparent to an officer, class leader or raid leader that the person playing an account is not the account’s actual owner (ie, the person we invited into the guild as the owner), that character will be immediately removed from the guild.

Exceptions to this can be made, for example, if one guild member is playing another guild member’s character, and an officer is notified beforehand.

Outside of this, it’s simple: let people we don’t know play your toon, you’re looking at a gboot. If you want to let your friends play WoW, do it on another account, or using characters that are not in Computus Demum.

Please note this change was made as a direct result of continuous issues with multiple guild members.
