Computus Demum the Kingslayers
Apr 20, 2010
...at least 11 of us are now. 25 man kill shot coming soon, I promise.

Special thanks to those of you putting in the extra effort to make raids lately while the weather's starting to get nice. It was an altogether brilliant move to re-start a raiding guild on the last instance before an expansion, in the Spring, on a server with a completely FUBAR economy.
Computus Demum: We don't do things the easy way. (Just ask the last guy I punched in the mouth for suggesting we zerg Sarth 3D.)

One Boss Left
Apr 12, 2010
It's been years and a lot of game time since CD first started, but one thing that was a common theme during hiatus was people saying, "I want to kill the Lich King with CD."
Tonight, after getting our bites coordinated, we saw the first glimpse of that goal.

From what we've heard, this is no Vashj or Kael'thas, but we look forward to learning another epic encounter. Killing the Lich King has been a goal for CD since before WotLK was even announced as an expansion.
Almost as important, hard modes are around the corner. Computus Demum was created to do the hardest content in the game, and while learning these new encounters has been fun and a little challenging, we truly are chomping at the bit for a real challenge. CD responds best to the most difficult content in the game. Just ask Brutallus.

Another Wing Clear
Apr 06, 2010
After dodging Easter and rescheduling our raid night, we finally got a decent group together and took 2 shots to kill this *****.

Hopefully that'll be the last I have to listen to her annoying voice cracking for at least a few weeks until we get to hard mode.
Of course, with all the new people in the guild, we get the questions now. I'll answer these now in an FAQ:
Q: Aren't we ahead of a whole bunch of guilds on the server now?
A: Yes.
Q: Doesn't that make us awesome?
A. /shrug
Q: Why don't you care?
A: Because we already whooped everybody at progression once. It wasn't really any more fun to be #1 at progression than it was at #4. It was just more pressure. This time around we're playing for fun. Progression threads are for the birds.
It's great to be awesome, but you become awesome by surrounding yourself with awesome people and letting them do great things. So thanks to all you classy, mature folks in the guild, and here's to continuing CD on our own terms from here on out.

...CD is back!
Also, Putricide is down in 25-mans. Grats to the 10-manners working the the Lich King at the moment, hopefully we'll be there in a week or two.
Other recommended titles for this article:
Professor Putricide Dies to Colon Cancer, CD Collects Loot
Professor Putricide Meets CD, Goes Back to Making Meth
Professor Putricide Loses Tenure, Goes Back to Community College
Basker Makes Awful Titles, Putricide Dies Regardless

Stay tuned for more raid-smashing action.

Dead Things
Mar 10, 2010
While I was busy raging at my internet connection, the following things died tonight:
1. Morrowgar (1-shot)
2. Deathwhisper (1-shot)
3. Hard-mode Boat (1-shot)
4. Saurfang (1-shot)
5. Festergut (1-shot)
6. Rotface (2-shot)
7. Blood Princes (1-shot)
Not bad for a rusty bunch of old-timers ;-) Now I just have to remember to take screen shots next time around.
